Here you go everyone - Lance Armstrong will make it very easy for you. He has time to ponder the world's biggest questions now that he has finally ridden gloriously into retirement.

.: avalanche hockey schedule :.
After finally watching some hockey last night, I decided I might as well build an Avalanche schedule for this year.
I haven't really made up my mind whether I am into the hockey season. I am just wishy-washy over the whole thing right now.
I am taking a wait and see atitude right now.

.: remaking the world's worst flu :.
Molecular pathologists gave the world some scary news on Wednesday. They said the strain of "bird flu" that has now killed more than 140 million birds in Asia is changing in ways that make it more like the "Spanish flu" that killed more than 20 million people in 1918 and 1919--in the deadliest pandemic since the Middle Ages' Black Death.

.: they said it :.
I was watching the evening news on CBS tonight and caught this line:
"The pigs get fatter and the hogs get slaughtered. And Tom is a hog"
This was said by the Republican Chairwoman of Tom Delays home county or district, I didn't catch which.
Ouch, that has got to hurt!
** Update **
The quote is by Beverly Carter, a Republican precinct chairwoman in DeLay's home district.

.: countdown counts down :.
Keith Olbermann blogs: "If merely a reasonable case can be made that any of these juxtapositions of events are more than just coincidences, it underscores the need for questions to be asked in this country - questions about what is prudence, and what is fear-mongering; questions about which is the threat of death by terror, and which is the terror of threat."
A countdown of the last 13 "political downturn for the administration, followed by a “terror event” - a change in alert status, an arrest, a warning"
The Nexus of Politics and Terror
Here are links for a video of his broadcast with 10 of the events.

.: my blog almost died :.
For the past few days I have been pulling my hair out because the database Thingamablog uses was corrupted. I had looked online and in Thingamablogs Forum for answers to no avail. I was worried that I was going to loose the whole kit and kaboodle.

.: oh, mr. bertuzzi :.

Derek Staudt, 19, of Arvada, Colo., pictured at right in a prison jumpsuit, yells at the Vancouver's Todd Bertuzzi before the Canucks' game on Thursday, October 27th against the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center. It was Bertuzzi's first visit to the Pepsi Center since he broke the neck of Avalanche center Steve Moore.
I sure it was sweet nothings he was sharing with Bertuzzi!

.: the shining redux :.
Talk about funny, you have to watch this. It is a redo of The Shining's trailer done by Robert Ryang at P.S. 260, a commertial post-production house in NYC. This is what the site had to say "A post-production house organized a competition where assistant editors ‘re-cut’ trailers for famous movies to try and make them seem like different movies . . . . this is the one that won."
